Teachers & Organizations

Do you work with middle & high school students?

Are your students interested in learning about language, culture, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and designing a community action project?

Would you like your students to broaden their worldview and gain crucial global citizenship skills?

The Digital Exchange Program (DEP) is a 12-week online cultural exchange program designed to equip students with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and resources to design community-action projects that promote intercultural understanding and global collaboration. We work with all kinds of teachers to bring the program into your classroom!

For example, if you teach an English class outside of the U.S., this is a great way for students to practice language skills. If you’re a leadership teacher, this is an opportunity for students to create and implement a community action project. If you’re a STEAM teacher, your students can connect with peers passionate about STEAM from other countries!

All you need is:

  • A class of middle or high school students

  • Ability to set aside 30 minutes/week (preferably on Fridays) for the program

  • Optional: assign the weekly program assignments as homework or offer extra credit to students

Learn more about the DEP and how you can get involved in the Teacher’s Guide. If you’re interested in registering your class, complete this form!

If you’re not sure if this is a good fit for all of your students, but know some dedicated & motivated students who could benefit from this opportunity, nominate them for the program!
